Na drie geslaagde edities, is het nu tijd voor Ska’d for Life IV! Deze zal plaatsvinden op 3 mei 2025, op een spiksplinternieuwe locatie. Wij zijn blij dat ons groeiende festival zal plaatsvinden in het mooie vernieuwde dB’s, het Utrechtse moederschip voor underground bands.
BIM SKALA BIM
Natuurlijk kun je van ons weer een fantastische line-up verwachten. De eerste band die we bekend maken is Bim Skala Bim! Deze legendarische band uit Boston (USA)
behoorde met hun ‘Boston Blue Beat’ in de jaren ’80 tot de eerste Amerikaanse Third Wave SKA bands. Wie oud genoeg is, zal nummers zoals ‘Bangin’’, ‘Hung Up’ en de geweldige Cream cover ‘Sunshine of Your Love’ nog steeds herinneren als
fantastische oorwurmen, die je je leven bij blijven.

NATTY BO & THE SAVOYS
Natty Bo is een internationaal geprezen DJ, MC, zanger, danser, artiest en man van de wereld. Naast optredens met zijn bands Ska Cubano, Top Cats en Natty Congeroo & The Flames of Rhythm, is Natty een vaste DJ bij Gaz’s Rockin’ Blues. Als bandleider van het immens populaire Ska Cubano heeft Natty veel lovende kritieken ontvangen en reist hij regelmatig de wereld rond. Op ons festival zal Natty optreden met de Nederlandse Rhythm n Blues, Soul, Ska en Rocksteady koningen The Savoys, geleid door de buitengewone gitarist CC Jerome!
DR RING DING
De Dokter is in the House! Hij zingt in het Engels, Patois, Duits, en Frans, onder begeleiding van zijn band met oude, en een paar nieuwe vrienden. Het programma bestaat uit Reggae, Ska, Dancehall en Calypso en vormt een fantastische selectie uit de vele albums die Dr Ring Ding heeft geproduceerd sinds 1987. Dr Ring Ding is een entertainer van het hoogste niveau en is niet te stuiten op het podium!

SKA’D FOR LIFE IV
After three succesful editions, it is now time for Ska’d for Life IV! It will take place on 3 May 2025, at a brand new location. We are happy that our growing festival will be held at the renewed dB’s, the mothership for underground bands in Utrecht.
BIM SKALA BIM
Of course you can expect a fantastic line-up again. The first band to be announced is Bim Skala Bim! This legendary band from Boston (USA) belonged to the first American Third Wave SKA bands. Everyone who is old enough, will still remember songs such as ‘Bangin’’, ‘Hung Up’ and the awesome Cream cover ‘Sunshine of your Love’ as fantastic ear wurms, that will never leave you once you have heard them.
DR RING DING
The Doctor is in the House! Long time companions and a few new members make up the rhythm and horn sections, with the Doctor singing in English, Patois, German, and French. The program comprises Reggae, Ska, Dancehall and Calypso; a sparkling assortment out of the numerous albums he has produced since 1987. Dr Ring Ding never fails to entertain the crowd. Once his feet hit the stage, he’s unstoppable!

Natty Bo is an internationally renowned DJ, MC, singer, dancer, artist and man about town. As well as performing with his bands Ska Cubano, Top Cats and Natty Congeroo & The Flames of Rhythm, Natty is a resident DJ at Gaz’s Rockin’ Blues. As bandleader of the hugely popular Ska Cubano, Natty has won widespread critical acclaim and performs regularly around the globe. Natty will perform at our festival with Dutch Rhythm n Blues, Soul, Ska and Rocksteady kings The Savoys, led by guitarist extraordinaire CC Jerome!
