Instruments: all instruments (vocal ranges) are welcome.
Prerequisite: at least 1 year of lessons or playing experience (reading music not mandatory)

Content:
Together we will explore space in music, learn why music needs space and that we need pauses and, ultimately, silence. Together we will trace the pulse of music and learn that playing on time is more than just playing at the right tempo (with a metronome). We will also listen carefully and develop our own sound, the most important trait of every musician. Together we will learn that 'sound' refers to the quality of a sound and that it is decisive how a note is played or sung.
We will develop all this improvisationally and create spontaneous compositions with our workshop band. However, special improvisational skills are not required!
