About this Event
The Social Justice Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to dismantling the regimes of oppression that impact Black women, girls, femmes, and gender-expansive folx. This event is part of our Some S#!t Just Need to be Free initiative (formerly Healing Through Art). This initiative provides free events for the community (tap in on our socials to hear about free yoga). Some things just need to be free. In our work, we know that there are so many barriers that prevent people from having access to things that many people want to have access to, but can’t afford also provide a safe space for folx to gather, commune, and just have a good time.
Creativity is healing for the soul, so come out and treat yourself to some good food, and great music and unleash your creative side.
This initiative has been funded in part through donations from community members and through funds from the Infusion Fund. Please come out and join us at the amazing venue in Camp North End at DUPP&SWAT.
We will be accepting donations as well, feel free to bring clothing, water, or canned goods. These donated items will go to people in the community who may be transient, unhoused, or simply in need of a bottle of water.
Support us at https://donorbox.org/support-the-sjc, so we can continue to provide events in the community.
