SJBP relies on cyclists like you to help us test the route before we launch each big event.Join us on Friday, September 5 as we preview/test the route for September’s “Flora & Fauna Ride!”
Gathering begins around 7:30pm. Wheels hit the street at 8pm.
Start/end location: Arena Green Park / Guadalupe River Park (Polo Courts!); 345 W Santa Clara St, San Jose, CA 95113 (near 87/SAP Center)
Ride Leaders: Tasha & JJ
Ride length: 18+/- miles
Ride Pace: Casual/Bike Party Pace (10-12 mph average)

These small group rides are a great way to meet new people, catch up with old friends, or just get out for a social ride. While you're pedaling, we'll count on you to help us keep an eye out for potential route hazards. Your feedback will help us adjust the route and keep all of Bike Party safe! There will be stops at each of our two prospective regroup spots: 20-30 minutes each.
Things to watch out for:
- road or bike lane construction
- hazardous railroad crossings
- poorly signed lane changes
- tricky turns
- problematic regroup spots
- notable debris in the road
- dangerous traffic patterns

Headlights are required by law and tail lights are strongly suggested. We also recommend you light up your whole bike! Being seen can save your life. Besides, why not make a spectacle of yourself! Bring your own party to bike party! Bike decorations loudly encouraged!

If you follow these rules, Bike Party will be safe and a positive place for riders, drivers, pedestrians, and the community
Ride sober.
Stop at red lights.
Stay to the right.
Pack your trash.
Roll past conflict.
Be nice.
Remember, you are responsible for your own behavior. All participants ride at their own risk. Please ride predictably.
What is San Jose Bike Party?
We're a rolling party that travels between 15-20 miles by bicycle (or scooter, unicycle, tricycle, roller skates, etc!) through the streets of San Jose and the South Bay on the third Friday of every month. Each month features a different starting location and route that remains (somewhat) secret until the week of the ride!
We break the ride into three segments with two party stop regroups where you can get down on the mobile dance floor with Guerillaz In Da Mixx.
