Following Alexander the Great in his quest to be sacred, heading to Siwa Oasis to explore Egypt biggest oasis.Trip highlights: fun, cultural (know more about Amazighi tribes populating Siwa Oasis), temple visit, sightseeing, some activities (hiking, biking, sand boarding, swimming!)
Trip itinerary;
Tuesday 11 February
Leave Cairo at 10:00 pm – 2 meeting points (Heliopolis & Dandy Mall)
Wednesday 12 February
Reach Siwa early morning, after check-in we had to swim in the salt lakes, then warmup dip in hot spring then we head to Taghaghien island & the famous Fatnass for sunset spectacle.
Thursday 13 February
Visit Siwa highlights (Shali center, Eein Cleopatra, Alexander temple…) using bicycles (carts will be available as well), then we hike crossing palm fields and we reach the western lake of Siwa, have tea in Taziry Ecolodge, swim at night in hot spring, a truly unforgettable experience!
Friday 14 February
Optional hike to see the sunrise on the top of Dakrour Mountain and enjoy the magical views of Siwa from the top.
Guided visit of the temple of the dead then its 4X4 time in the great sand dunes surrounding Siwa, passing by hot water spring, sand boarding and after sunset we will enjoy our Bedwein dinner in the middle of the desert
Saturday 15 February
We will head to Siwa market for breakfast and shopping. Departure from Siwa by 12:00pm to Cairo
Trip fees 8700 EGP
Trip fees includes;
- Round trip transportation (All using vans) and all group internal transportation in Siwa,
- 4x4 safari, sand boarding, hot drinks & snacks.
- Accommodation 3 nights in hotel shared rooms with private bathrooms.
- 4 breakfasts, traditional dinner on safari day, tea in Taziry Ecolodge by Siwa lake
- All activities (hiking, biking, sand boarding, site visits), entrance fees & permits.
- Professional local guide in historical & cultural sites (Alexandre temple, pharaonic tombs, Shaly town...)
- For foreigners there are extra fees for temple entrance tickets & permits.
