Each month a different plant spirit will be showcased along with a practice to experience working with its gifts and energy.
The plant spirit for February is Tabernaemontana undulata or better known as Sananga. Birthed by the Kuntanawa people of the Amazon, Sananga is a liquid extracted from the root and bark of this shrub. This medicine is received through the eyes. While the initial feeling is profound and uncomfortable, by channeling within, Sananga has the potential to harness intense focus, clearing of negative energies, and elicit an overall refreshed and empowered state in relation to time, space and self.
Comfortable attire is suggested. Feel free to bring journaling material and any totems, elementals or talisman that you call on for support. Mats, bolsters and blankets are available or you may bring your own.
