Site-specific activities refer to artistic work that is conceived and designed for a particular, unique location—often outside of traditional performance spaces. In this approach, the physical, cultural, and social characteristics of the site become integral to the meaning and experience of the work. The location itself shapes the narrative, movement, and audience interaction, transforming the space into a vital component of the performance. By embedding context and place into the artwork’s essence, site-specific performance challenges traditional viewing experiences and deepens the relationship between the work, its environment, and its audience.
