Welcome to Sisterhood & Silent Reading Kalamazoo! Join us at the Startup Zoo space downtown Kalamazoo for a cozy gathering of women coming together to read in peaceful silence. This event, which is a collective effort of several Black Women Book Clubs is all about celebrating sisterhood and the joy of getting lost in a good book. Whether you're a bookworm or just looking for a relaxing , yet inspiring space, this is the perfect opportunity to unwind and connect with like-minded sistas. Grab your favorite book, find a comfy spot, and enjoy the serene atmosphere. We can't wait to see you there!
The Theme for the Silent Read is RELATIONSHIPS. So please bring a book that highlights relationships of any kind (friendships, lovers, colleagues, neighbors, parent/child, etc.).
What is a silent reading event: A space where you can grab a drink & read in comfortable silence among fellow book lovers.
There is NO COST for this event. Lunch is provided.
YOU ARE INVITED TO BRING A SEAT PILLOW FOR THE SILENT READ IF YOU'D PREFER FLOOR SEATING. Chairs will be provided.
There will be a brief survey afterwards.
