About this Event
Join a community of young Black and Brown women from all walks of life for an insightful discussion into self-care, mental health and wellbeing. We will be sharing reflections on mental health issues affecting our communities as well as tips on how to grow in our self-care journeys.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Please give details of any allergies/dietary requirements.
This event is facilitated by Mayowa Osadiya in partnership with the TuWezeshe Akina Dada Fellowship Programme, run by FORWARD UK. Mayowa is a law graduate from the University College London and an incoming trainee solicitor at a Magic Circle law firm. Alongside her legal studies, Mayowa spends her time volunteering with FORWARD UK, a charity which seeks to end FGM and other forms of gender-based violence among African communities in the UK. Mayowa strongly believes in the importance of sisterhood for the advancement of women and therefore seeks to create safe spaces for women to discuss issues that are important to them.
