About this Event

Are you ready to elevate your confidence, connect with like-minded individuals, and make a positive impact in our community? Join us for an inspiring evening of networking, self-discovery, and empowerment, all while supporting a noble cause. We are excited to invite you to our Sister Circle.

Our guest speaker, Fay Goodman is a widely acclaimed Lady Samurai within the martial arts community and has attained the pinnacle of her discipline. She holds a Nanadan (7th-degree black belt) in Iaido and a Rokudan (6th-degree black belt) in Jodo, complemented by proficiency in various traditional martial arts. Her martial arts journey is not only a testament to her physical prowess but also to her innovative spirit, exemplified by her creation of Shefuay, a unique self-defence and personal safety system. Fay herself has faced vulnerability as a victim. At the age of 13, she was attacked by a group of men. Later, she found the inner strength to rescue her sister from the grips of horrific domestic violence. She then championed her cause in the Family Courts, ultimately securing her sister's only grandchild from forced adoption. These experiences have profoundly influenced her approach to martial arts, which she believes transcends mere physical training. She views martial arts as a conduit for profound life lessons and a means to cultivate the inner self.

Through her books, music compositions, and performances, Fay advocates for a world where compassion, peace, inspiration, respect, and kindness prevail. Her teachings emphasise the importance of these values, reflecting her belief in the transformative power of music and martial arts to foster a better, more empathetic society.
