Welcome to the Sister 2 Sister From Pain to Power Women's Pre-Conference Concert!

Join us for an empowering evening filled with music, inspiration, and sisterhood. This in-person event will be held at 18700 James Couzens Fwy on October 18, 2024.

In collaboration with the Michigan Progressive Baptist Convention, Rebuild the Foundation and American Baptist Churches USA and our membership. We will be having our First Women’s Conference here in Detroit October 18-20th.Opening up Friday night with a welcome concert featuring Detroit Youth Choir, Dottie Peoples, Vicki Winans and Bro. Maurice Griffin from Sundays Best and Special Guest and recording Artist Pastor Smokie Norful.

On Saturday we will begin our conference with the powerful preachers and workshops aimed to help women heal from Domestic violence, Drug abuse and most of all Suicide and Mental Health. The conference goal is to help women of all ages.

The Michigan Progressive Baptist Convention is committed to social justice and offers a long-standing witness of the religion of Jesus in the State of Michigan and beyond. It is also an affiliate of the Progressive National Baptist Convention, Inc which was founded in 1961 and is the denominational home of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Growing out of the first Baptist association founded in 1707 American Baptist Churches USA now is comprised of 33 regions. They range in size from the individual urban centers of Cleveland, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis and Los Angeles to the 13-state American Baptist Churches of the South, from small regions of approximately 35 to regions with hundreds of churches.

Rebuild the Foundation was founded in 2019 during Covid in Chicago, il. The Goal of rebuild the foundation was to help families with food and education on Covid -19. We were able to feed over 300 families smith without no government funding or assistance the board together used their own monies and resources and donation from local food pages that shared with us. During the Pandemic we also partnered local health departments to give out Covid -19 Vaccines, clothes to those in need. The food boxes consisted of enough food to feed a family for two weeks. Rebuild the foundation is still a chapter and runs every month in Illinois. Here in Michigan where I live now I transferred Rebuild the foundation entity to form and help women and children who are suffering from homelessness domestic violence and Drug Addiction. To educate and guide as well to direct them on a better path in life. The goal is to open homes for the women to live in until they can transition back into society as a renewed Individual. This year’s conference Theme is Sister 2 Sister from Pain to Power. So many women young and season are still suffering from post-covid depression and suicide and in Michigan the domestic violence rate is rising every day, and many women are losing their lives to domestic violence alone. The conference and workshops will focus on Pain, Fear, Depression and Mental Health for women of all ages. Our goal is to help someone if not everyone. If you’re able to see a seed into our conference, please know it would help to continue to help women and children here in Michigan. This year’s conference will take place at the Hartford Memorial Baptist Church 18700 James Couzens freeway Detroit Michigan 48235 where they have been kind to allow us to use their building.all proceeds will go to open a women’s and children’s shelter in Michigan .
