About this Event
DRESS=AFRO FLY. Sista Zock’s Knoxville Kwanzaa Expo: A Cultural Fundraiser is a vibrant community celebration rooted in unity, healing, cultural pride, and collective restoration. Taking place on Saturday, December 28th, from 2:00–7:00 PM at the Emporium (100 Gay Street, Knoxville, TN), this gathering brings together families, youth, artists, faith communities, and cultural leaders for an uplifting experience honoring the spirit of Kwanzaa.
The afternoon will feature a candle lighting ceremony, live band, DJ, drum and dance performances, community awards, marketplace vendors, and a shared Taste of Africa–inspired food experience. Guests are encouraged to arrive in African or cultural attire as part of the evening’s theme: “Afro Fly Excellence.”
Churches, community groups, and individuals are invited to attend as guests, donors, or sponsors, with opportunities to reserve group tables and support year-round cultural programming through our community nonprofit partner. This event is sponsored by Sista Zock and Visit Knoxville and is designed to strengthen Knoxville’s diverse community network through art, tradition, and connection.
Come celebrate culture, community, and collective purpose with us.
