Now recognised as a global stage for the excellence, embodiment and fantasy of the ballroom scene down under, the Ball’s second curator Godmother Kilia took it to new heights. The Ball’s latest inheritant Kianna Edisane “Oricci” is the Australian mother of the International House of Nina Oricci and the trailblazing mother of the Naarm Kiki Scene. Grounded in the art forms of street dance and Ballroom, Kianna’s practice centres around Trans and POC cultural and political art.
