We’re delighted to be welcoming back one of Britain’s icons from the golden age of steam, No. 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley. This March, the steam locomotive will be in action between Pickering and Grosmont stations for a selection of special services.Seat Allocated Services
Two round-trip services will operate between Pickering and Grosmont. Service 1 departs Pickering at 10:30 and returns from Grosmont at 12:00, while Service 2 departs Pickering at 13:30 and returns from Grosmont at 15:10.
This carefully planned schedule ensures plenty of time for passengers to enjoy the journey and the beautiful scenery along the heritage line.
Railway 200
These special services are part of the NYMR’s Railway 200 celebrations, marking 200 years since the birth of the modern passenger railway in the UK. Alongside the visiting locomotive, during 2025 there will be The 200 Trail and Railway 200 Special Pullman Dining services.

Adults (16+) are £30, Children (4-15) are £15, and Dog Day tickets are £3 each. Members tickets are also available: Adults (16+) are £27, and Children (4-15) are £13.50. Tickets for these services are limited, so early booking is strongly recommended.
