Sips 'n' Science: Backyard Butterflies and Conservation

Join the LWC for an inspiring talk with Master Gardener and Melittologist Stephanie Hazen as she shares some of the best ways to attract and support native butterflies and moths in your backyard! In her presentation, Stephanie will talk about host plants for a variety of butterflies and moths she has photographed in her yard. She will go over basic requirements for butterflies to live and flourish, and go into detail about what the average gardener can do to support Monarch butterflies throughout their life cycle.
Attendees will also receive free seeds for three kinds of milkweed as well as dozens of other native plant seeds to help create pollinator-friendly habitats.
