Want to listen to some great music from talented learners in a family friendly environment? Want to learn to play a musical instrument? Looking for FREE family friendly events to bring your kids to once the weather gets good. We got you covered!
From midday until 7PM on Saturday June 15th, we have a jampacked day of great performance, food and music education.
Local ukulele club Sip N Strum - Community Education Classes in Ukulele will be hosting a performance afternoon where local performers will be demonstrating the musical skills they have developed over the last two years. From community music groups to school bands, come and support local musicians in first venture onto the stage. Furthermore, there will be a ukulele workshop, where you can grab an instrument and have a go even if you have NO prior musical experience. We have 30 ukuleles so stocks are limited. Bring a ukulele if you want to guarantee getting one but there SHOULD be a spare one for you to grab.
But there's more!!!!
Expect professional live performances from the supremely talented ukulele performer Kitty Stewart and her catalogue of acoustic, folkey comedy infused melodies. Also the Salisbury Pluckers will be gracing the stage with their memorable repertoire of popular covers that are bound to get you singing along. Finally, of course, local performer and organizer "Gregory Cook" will be showing off some of his ukulele looping, its a lineup you don't want to miss.
As always thank you to our hosts George & Dragon Salisbury for letting us run it in their beautiful back garden. Expect no less than great food, catering to range of dietary requirements, great drinks for those of all ages and driving status's and of course... Great beers for the adults.
