Opera Orlando hosts a five day summer intensive for high school students looking to learn what it takes to become a professional singer. Students will receive coachings from Opera Orlando staff and teaching artists on solo repertoire, they will participate in masterclasses with prominent guest artists, hone their resume-writing skills, get professional headshots taken, and perform in a final recital to showcase the work achieved during the week. Additionally, there will be a focus on wellness and movement with yoga classes, vocal health seminars, and vocal anatomy sessions. Guest teachers, clinicians include internationally-renowned tenor Curtis Rayam and Grammy Award-winning baritone Gabriel Preisser.
All currently enrolled high school students are eligible to apply via the link below. All applicants must also submit a video recording of themselves singing an art song, aria, or musical theater piece.
