Speed dating events are a fun way for singles to meet up and go on a number of mini dates (5 minutes each), during a single event.
Why mini or 5 minute dates? Well, chemistry is usually assessed by a person with in 4 minutes, when you are in person, NOT online.
Speed dating has so many positives, over and above what has already been mentioned;
- Multiple mini dates in your age range
- You'll have fun and enjoy yourself
- You'll have a chance at winning fabulous Prizes
- You get out of the house and give Fluffy some down time
- Get the same man to woman ratio (50/50)
- Most speed daters are looking for a relationship
- It's efficient, you meet a lot of potential partners in a short amount of time
- You might make new friends (man or woman)
- Having short dates are better if the date gets dull or awkward
- Saves time, get a number of dates completed in one fun night
- It's more affordable, whether you pay for just yourself or not, 10-17 dates times drinks, food, parking, gas, etc.
- Cheaper than an online dating services (to get 10-17 dates from an online dating service would cost about 3 months of service, around $90)
- And you get the chance to enjoy multiple conversations with people, whom otherwise, you'd probably never meet
The process:
You will have five minutes to chat and get a feel for your date. The hostess will usually give you questions, trivia, or subjects to help the daters out if they can’t think of anything on their own.
You will hear a bell ring, that means the time is up and the man will get up from the table and move to the the next table (in the dating migration pattern). After each mini date, you will mark your tally card with an indication of whether you’d like to meet that person again or not.
After all of the mini dates are over, at the end of the night, the tally cards are gathered by your hostess.
The following day. The tally cards are accessed, to see if any two people picked each other. If two people picked each other, there is a match, and they are called the next day with contact information of their match. Then the magic happens!!
