About this Event
This class is for people who are curious about tango—not as a performance, but as a way of meeting others through movement, music, and presence.
Somatic tango offers something increasingly rare: a structured, respectful way to connect with others without small talk, posturing, or pressure. It is calm, elegant, playful, and deeply human.
You do not need dance experience. You do not need to be outgoing. You only need curiosity.
Why Tango
Many social spaces today ask us to be impressive, fast, or constantly “on.” Tango asks something different.
- Clarity instead of social guesswork
- Connection without needing to perform
- Physical presence that is respectful and grounded
- Playfulness held inside structure
- Elegance over athleticism
Tango gives people a way to relate that feels natural, dignified, and surprisingly fun.
What You’ll Experience
In this introductory class, you will:
- Learn the fundamentals of walking together in tango
- Explore how connection works through timing, weight, and listening
- Experience structured partner interaction that feels safe and clear
- Move to music in a way that is calm, expressive, and enjoyable
There is no pressure to be good. Progress happens through repetition and shared experience.
Who This Is For
This class is designed for:
- Singles who are curious about tango but unsure where to start
- People who want a social experience with substance
- Those drawn to elegance, kindness, and human-scale connection
- Anyone interested in a weekly third space that builds over time
You do not need a partner. Everyone rotates respectfully, with clear guidance.
About Two Flame Tango
Two Flame Tango is a social tango school focused on connection, somatic awareness, and sustainable community. Our teaching emphasizes clarity, comfort, and presence rather than steps or choreography.
Students often tell us this becomes one of the most grounding and enjoyable parts of their week.
This class is part of an ongoing study. Many people find that coming more than once is where tango truly begins to feel good—so there is no rush to decide what comes next.
