An invitation to come out on the land to celebrate the confluence of Cherwell and Thames in Oxford.
About this Event

Singing to Source is an act of love for our rivers imagined by Oxford Community Goddess Temple and Thames Headwaters Bioregion.

Earlier in the day we will be out singing to the source of three of our major rivers - Thames, Cherwell and Evenlode - that flow into Oxford, and the Boundary Brook within Oxford. This evening event is a social gathering with singing and sharing food around a fire.

Singing will be led by Sarah Jane Heath.

Further details to be announced. See video below for a song by Jackie Singer we will be singing on the day.

This event is free to attend but donations are invited to cover costs of food / drink. Any profits will go towards the emerging - honouring the sacred feminine in the land and in all of us. Thank you for your support.

If you care about protecting our water, you may also want to take action. Here are some links to organisations you can join.

  • The Evenlode Catchment Partnership (ECP), hosted by Wild Oxfordshire, has a vision for an Evenlode with improved water quality, enhanced flood management, enriched biodiversity, with greater community engagement with rivers, at local and landscape scales.
  • Drinkable Rivers - an inspiring Dutch initiative combining river walks with citizen science and activism. In 2023 they led a Thames walk from source to sea.
