Talk to yourself like you would to someone you love - Brene Brown
In order for us to truly hold each other in these times, we must begin by holding ourselves. Not only is caring for ourselves not self-indulgent, caring for ourselves is an act of survival (Audre Lorde). Self-love and self-compassion are my favorite therapeutic tools for healing, resourcing, individual and collective transformation. And what better way to practice than through the power of song and the grace of the ocean?
Song circles are an accessible and community-based approach to singing. Together we will share simple chants, rounds and layer songs, songs designed to soothe, to uplift, to support and to inspire. The kinds of songs you can carry with you in your body and in your heart, and turn to as you embrace the coming year.
**Bring something to sit on and some cozy layers/sun protection. All genders/ages welcome.
** 9:30-10 - Arrive, get settled and co-create the self-love altar. 10-11 - Singing.

DONATION - Sliding scale $30-$20. No one turned away due to lack of funds.
