UPDATE Endeavour Woodcrafts is delighted to announce their Alzheimer Association backed Singing for the Brain sessions will begin on Thursday 11th July 1.00pm - 2.30pm (and run every other Thursday) held at:
The Old Fire Station
Darlington Road
Ferryhill
This is not a choir group but aimed at those living with dementia and their carers and families. We sing without background music and no one attending needs a 'good voice'
We offer teas and coffees and a little socialising before starting the sessions - signposting to dementia organisations will be on hand. The sessions are free to attend but donations to cover the refreshments are always welcome.
Call 01740 657676 (Mon-Fri 10am-2pm) to leave your name and phone number or email [email protected] if you are interested in joining us.
Why join a Singing for the Brain group?
Did you know that singing can improve your brain activity, wellbeing and mood? You don’t need to be a good singer to benefit.
* do fun vocal warm-ups and sing a wide variety of familiar and new songs
* express yourself, feel positive and make new friends
* feel supported by our skilled, compassionate and experienced staff who are available to support you with anything you need.
* 100% of people who go along to Singing for the Brain sessions say they’ve improved their life in some way.
Thank you
