Janek Pęczak,
composer, arranger, long-time guitarist of the band T.Love.
"The time has come for me to create and perform under my own name. I am definitely in it now, but I'll briefly summarize my story. The stage opened up for me in 1996 when, as an almost 18-year-old guitarist, I won a competition at Zbyszek Hołdys's store, which resulted in performances with the bands Virtual Jazz Reality and Sto Procent Bawełny. For a short time, I played in the band Houk, and I also had the Jan Pęczak Trio, which made noise at jazz festivals. This tradition of noise was continued for several years by the band Blast Muzungu, founded with Piotrek Zabrodzki. I also collaborated with Tadeusz Sudnik. From 2007 to 2017, I played guitar in T.Love, which suspended its concert activities. It's hard to say exactly, but I definitely played over 600 concerts with this band in Poland and beyond. I participated in the recording of the albums "Old is gold" and "T.Love", as well as several songs that appeared on compilations. The first of these albums went platinum and received a Fryderyk award. During this time, I also released the album "13 Months of Sunshine" with my reggae band The Relievers. I also played on albums by artists and bands such as Pan Profeska, Pako Sarr, Sidney Polak, Reggaenerator - Shark-a-taak, LXMP, Revolver (I also did the mastering for the Retrolux album). I was involved in the production of "Sweet Love Riddim" by Krystian "K-Jah Walczak and sang the song "Love is givin' freedom". I worked as a producer on Pola Rise's album. After twenty years of experience, I am ready to express what I feel through my creativity and to be fully myself in it. I discovered my feelings and that nothing stops me from using words and music to convey them. I am not interested in a perfectly wrapped form with perfectly tuned vocals and militarily even playing. I focus on truth. I feel good in it. Maybe you will feel good in it too."
"Musical circles with mantras are a form I was looking for when playing on big stages felt stiff and disconnected from people. I wanted to find a form in which a musician could be closer to people and have a greater sense of community, while also looking for the healing aspect of music and content that would do something good."
