About this Event
, we inspire deeper connection to ourselves, each other, and the Earth through song. We believe in the healing, freedom, and joy that can come through communal singing, and aim to make that experience more widely accessible.
About this Circle: Facilitated by Milly Roberts, this circle will carry willing particpants through a journey of vocal improvisation from "loosening" to "chohering" to "the dive." We will begin with exercises designed to break down inhibitors that prevent improvisational flow. We will then find coherance through the practice of building "group grooves," simple layers created by each participant into a collective song. These grooves will simplify and become foundation for particpants to explore the power and vulnerability of soloing. This circle will include simple music theory as well as light somatic exercises to ground our inspiration of sound.
