About this Event
Young Musicians for Palestine is a project started by group of young musicians and students local to Notts with the aim of establishing a sustainable way for musicians and artists to fundraise, get involved with the liberation of Palestine and create opportunities for Notts audiences to show their solidarity with the people of Gaza. We are organising a series of gigs varying in genre and venue during the summer of 2024 in an effort to raise as much money as we can for MAP, PCRF and The Ghassan Abu Sittah Children's Fund.
Our first event is in collaboration with Sumac Centre, who are hosting a singer-songwriter's evening on Tuesday 2nd July, with a lineup of 5 independent artists who have kindly volunteered to perform. Join us for beautiful music, Palestinian poetry, stories of Palestinian music and musicians, food, a raffle, and a stall full of goodies.
