HEY GUYS! You might notice a few things are different.... Well you are correct! We made some changes to our artwork and we moved our open mic back to the THIRD THURSDAY of each month. We are still at Shims and we still can't wait to see you!
This is also a very special night... The 20th is the eve before the Fall of Freedom events taking place on Nov 21 & 22 around the country. It is an urgent call to the arts community to unite in defiance of authoritarian forces sweeping our nation. We want to be part of that activation of a nationwide wave of creative resistance. If you would like to participate bring songs of resistance to share! Let your voice be heard!
Join us every THIRD Thursday of the month for a night of original music, good vibes, and great drinks at Shims Speakeasy in Downtown Reno!
Bring your instrument, your friends, and 2–3 songs (12–15 minutes depending on the crowd). We’ve got a sign-up sheet ready and we do our best to make sure everyone gets a chance to play!
Shims offers up tasty drinks and a cozy speakeasy atmosphere—the perfect setting for sharing music with an awesome community. It’s truly our favorite night of the month, and we can’t wait to see (and hear) you there!
