13th Singapore-International Physiotherapy Congress (SIPC) 2024

Welcome to SIPC 2024! We are very excited to be organizing our first face-to-face congress since the pandemic! We want to take this opportunity to thank all health care professionals coming together and helping out in various possible ways during the crisis.

The theme of the upcoming SIPC congress is Advancing the Frontiers of Physiotherapy: Towards a Healthier SG. Healthier SG is one of the latest health initiatives by the Ministry of Health (MOH), Singapore. It is a major transformation in the Singapore healthcare system where the emphasis is shifting from reactively caring for those who are sick, to proactively preventing individuals from falling ill. The main aim of this initiative is to educate and empower our population to reshape their health-seeking behaviours and lifestyles (www.healthiersg.gov.sg). This calls for healthcare professionals including physiotherapists, medical doctors, occupational therapists, nurses, fitness trainers, dieticians and many others to come together and find exciting collaborative working models.

The congress will also include discussions, research and updates that embrace the principles of One Rehab. One Rehab is MOH initiative to improve clinical care services that is currently underway since 2021. One Rehab framework aims to assist therapists and patients in tracking progress towards defined outcomes and rehabilitation goals. It also aims to make the process of rehabilitation clearer by providing standardised criteria for rehabilitation as well as improve patients' access to an expanded scope of community rehabilitation services.

SIPC 2024 is going to be more engaging and interactive. We have planned an academic and pragmatically orientated program by engaging world-renowned overseas and local experts from the various healthcare professions to speak at SIPC 2024. There will also be one-day workshops conducted by world-renowned overseas and local experts from the various healthcare professions. We recommend colleagues to make the fullest use of this conducive platform for multidisciplinary learning and engagement towards building a healthier population for our respective nations.

• Invoicing to Organisation:

Participants who require their registration fees to be invoiced to their organisation, please fill up the Group Registration form. Alternatively, please email the Congress Secretariat at: [email protected] immediately after completing their online registration.

• Group Registration:

Please note that group registrations CANNOT be processed online under one identical email address. Each participant needs to have his/her own profile set up with a unique email address.

• Registration Deadlines:

• Deadline for Early Bird Registration: 29th March 2024

• Deadline for Standard Registration: 30th June 2024

• Online registration closes: 14th July 2024

Confirmation of Registration: Within 3 working days after the clearance of your payment, you will receive a confirmation either via email. Please ensure your email address is included correctly in the registration form.

• Cancellations and Refunds:

• Notice of cancellation must be emailed to the Congress Secretariat by 15 June 2024 at [email protected].

• 50% of registration fee will be refunded for cancellations made on or before 15 June 2024. This will also apply to offline registrations. No refunds will be made after the stated date.

• Cancellations received after 15 June 2024 and ‘No-Show’ will not qualify for refund and the delegate remains liable for the full registration fee.

• Delegates are to ensure that they have received an acknowledgement of their cancellation from the Congress Secretariat.

• From the date of receipt by the Congress Secretariat of the delegate’s notice of withdrawal or cancellation, the Conference Secretariat will proceed to delete all registration details submitted by the delegate within the next 10 working days.

• Replacement Policy:

• Where a paid delegate is unable to attend the congress and request to send an alternate delegate from the same institution/organisation, request can be made for a one-for-one substitution of the same registration category and fees.

• However, where the substitute delegate is of different registration category, there will be no refund of fee paid and the substitute delegate will have to top up any differences in fees, where required.

• All replacement requests must be emailed to the Congress Secretariat at: [email protected] not later than 15 June 2024, together with the full name and contact details of the substitute delegate.

• Liability and Disclaimer:

Whilst every attempt will be made to ensure that all aspects of the Congress mentioned herein will take place as scheduled, the Singapore-International Physiotherapy Congress Organisers reserve the prerogative to make final changes should the need arise. The applicant acknowledges that he/she has no right to lodge complaints against the Singapore-International Physiotherapy Congress Organisers should the holding of the Congress be hindered or prevented by unexpected political or economic events, or by force majeure, non-appearance of speakers or other reasons which necessitate programme changes. With registration, the applicant accepts this Provision.

Congress registration is not complete until payment has been received and Congress organiser reserves the right to refuse entry, unless fees are fully paid.
