Join us at the historic Almshouses for a joyous community celebration of everything that marks the start of the Christmas season: glorious music, warm company, and—of course—the Hallelujah Chorus as a sparkling bonus treat.
Our Sing Along Messiah – Part I invites singers of all backgrounds to come together for an afternoon of uplifting music-making. The £15 rehearsal fee includes the loan of a vocal score on the day, ensuring we are all—quite literally—singing from the same hymn sheet. With our resident orchestra accompanying you through Handel’s ageless masterpiece, this promises to be an unforgettable musical gathering.
Dress is relaxed, though a touch of festive sparkle is very much encouraged.
To keep spirits high, complimentary mulled wine and mince pies will be served—because no celebration of the season would be complete without them.
Singers are warmly encouraged to invite guests to the 4:30pm performance, which is free to attend, with a retiring collection for those who wish to contribute.
