About this Event
Helen Yeomans is one of the UK's best-loved community choir leaders and songwriters - if you sing in a community choir in Britain you'll have sung her music. She writes from the heart, using personal experiences and stories she's heard to craft exquisite, heart-opening songs. In 2015 Helen won the gospel category prize at the UK International Songwirting Contest and her songs have been selected for numerous events, festivals and the media.
Helen has been running singing workshops in the UK and abroad for over twentyyears. She manages to bring out the best of all her singers, bringing the group together like an alchemist. She has a rare ability to read the room perfectly, tailoring her song choice to suit the mood, taking the singers on an emotional roller-coaster with her.
Helen is coming to the United States in Septembe 2024 and will be running workshops i Asheville NC, Brattleboro VT and topping it off with this afternoon workshop in Annapolis MD. All voices welcome, no experience necessary!
