Come celebrate Nevada Union Choirs and Rod Baggett's retirement concert! After 36 years of teaching and the last 28 being at NU, the ensembles under his direction will present a collection of choral sounds that touch many aspects of our world and beyond. The songs and lyrics will lift up life and the art and joy of singing. The music will honor the earth, the sky and the stars. Each choir will present a collection of styles that range from traditional choral sounds to a variety of popular genres. The concert will feature composers such as Eric Whitacre, Randall Stroope, Frank Ticheli and Daniel Gawthrop. The choirs will cover arrangements of songs by the Kings Singers, Pentatonix, Elton John, Abba, Indigo Girls, Bill Withers, Bruno Mars yes even Barbie! There will surely be something for everyone!
