Oh Shipmates!! Saturday July 27 it is the TWO-YEAR SHANTYVERSARY of the Bytown Sea Shanty Collective, and we want you to join us!It will be a full day of fun at Beyond the Pale Brewing, as we perform two sets of sea shanties, along with many fun surprises! Come to one, come to both, bring your favourite seashanty-loving friends and family and make merry with us on a summer’s day.
JULY 29
1:00pm - Afternoon shanties outdoors! WEATHER PERMITTING
Shantyers of all ages welcome! We’ll perform a shortened, family friendly set on the patio, and plan to have colouring books and other fun activities for younger pirates!
8:00pm - Shanty under the Stars - the traditional sea shanty experience you’ve grown to know and love will be back. RAIN OR SHINE
Bytown Sea Shanty is a totally accessible, inclusive, singing experience - there is no cover, no need for background musical experience and no pressure. Come in, grab your favourite glass of grog, and join the chorus crew!
Weather permitting both sets will be outside!
N.b. The afternoon set will ONLY happen with good weather. Evening set will be outdoors if possible, but indoors if the weather isn’t great.
Help us celebrate two full years of singing songs of the sea together, rabblerousing and growing our beards and this beautiful community! Way hey!
