Sinead O'Connor Tribute Night in aid of MASI

An evening to celebrate Shuhada' Sadaqat, or as many know her, Sinéad O’Connor. On the eve of Sinéad's birthday, we invite you to join us in celebrating the legend she was as we bring together artists who embody Sinéad's spirit and music. As Sinéad was an inspiring advocate for human rights, equality and welcomed all, proceeds for the event will go to the Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland (MASI).
On the night, we will be joined by singer songwriters including Róisin El Cherif, Emma Langford, Molly Sterling, Lúila, Lor-key, Seba Safe, Steo Wall, Mná and Aoibheann Boyle. Songs of Shuhada'/Sinéad will be sung on the night and we will have some original music from each performer who was influenced in some way by the existence of the mighty Sinéad O'Connor.
Join us on the 7th December from 7:30pm and let’s come together to honour her iconic voice, fearless spirit, and timeless hits that touched our hearts. Expect live performances, heartfelt tributes, and a powerful evening filled with the raw emotion and beauty Sinéad brought to the world.

On the day of Shuhada'/Sinéad's birthday, Sunday 8th December, we will be holding an open 'squircle' and jam session lead by Damian O'Rourke of Cuppa Tea TV from 1pm to 3pm in Fitz' Bar in Hotel Doolin. All are welcome to join, listen in or participate in the session!
This is a collaborative event organised by Aoibheann Boyle and Damian O'Rourke.
About MASI
The Movement for Asylum Seekers in Ireland (MASI) was established ten years ago in response to the inhumane treatment of asylum seekers under the Direct Provision system. Over the past decade, MASI has served as a vital voice for individuals seeking refuge in Ireland, advocating for justice, freedom, and dignity for all asylum seekers.
Some of MASI's notable achievements include securing the Right to Work and the Right to Education, both of which were previously inaccessible to asylum seekers. These victories have significantly improved the lives of many individuals and families, allowing them to contribute to society and pursue their educational goals. Additionally, MASI has organised numerous campaigns and awareness initiatives, highlighting the challenges faced by asylum seekers and fostering a broader public understanding of their rights and needs.
Through community engagement and collaboration with other organisations, MASI continues to push for systemic change, aiming to abolish the Direct Provision system altogether and create a more inclusive and compassionate asylum process in Ireland.
