The shrine church of St. Anthony Chapel in the Troy Hill community celebrates All Saints Day with an eclectic concert program of classical, jazz, folk and other surprises by the string quartet CutTime Simfonica®. The chapel is home to the largest collection of Christian relics in the world, remarkable stain glass windows, and life-like statues of the Stations of the Cross.Led by retired Detroit Symphony bassist-composer Rick Robinson (aka Mr. CutTime), this program will feature passionate and sublime homage to our beloved saints with familiar or otherwise heavenly musical meditations by Bach, Mozart, Elgar, Faure, Ellington, and by Robinson himself, and others.
CutTime Simfonica musicians will be:
Shannon Fitzhenry, violin I
Shannon Lock, violin II
Stephen Weiss, viola
Rick Robinson, double bass
Doors open at 6:30pm and the program will be followed by a reception with the musicians.
