The Hoogland Center for the Arts is delighted to welcome back two of our favorite artists, Robbie Howard and Sharon Owens, in Sinatra & Streisand, a mesmerizing tribute show that brings to life the legendary music of Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand. Robbie and Sharon, renowned for their uncanny resemblance to the iconic stars, deliver an authentic experience that captures the essence of Sinatra's suave charm and Streisand's timeless elegance. There will be performances at 2:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 1st in the LRS Theatre at the Hoogland Center for the Arts (located at 420 South Sixth in Springfield).Sharon Owens began her career as a Streisand Tribute for the multi-million dollar production show Legends in Concert. Her uncanny resemblance in both voice and looks propelled her career to the status of headlining in her own show “Barbra and Frank, The Concert That Never Was”. During her time impersonating Streisand, she won a national competition in 2005 on Fox TV called “Performing As…” as well as making it to the finals in 2007 of the ABC hit show “The Next Best Thing”. She has performed for Access Hollywood, Extra, been seen in People magazine and TV guide as one of the best “impersonators” in the world.
Her incredible voice does mimic the sound of the incomparable Streisand style yet her voice as a solo artist, has a style all her own. She masters the American Songbook as well as sings her favorite standards of all time. She has her Master’s degree from Chapman University and a BA from the University of South Florida. College-educated, world-traveler and a veteran of the entertainment business, Sharon Owens’ performance as Barbra Streisand will bring back “Memories” and be an audience favorite for your series.
Capturing the essence of Frank Sinatra, Robbie Howard stands apart from a look-a-like or sound-a-like entertainer. He works the audience with the same charisma as Old Blue Eyes himself. The music, the comedy, the wit, the smile, they are all there as Howard smoothly brings The Rat Pack era Sinatra back to life in a modern setting.
The Chairman of the Board Howard portrays is cool and hip and appealing to all demographics. His gift of improvisational comedy delights crowds whether it be a late night Las Vegas audience or a corporate show in the mid-west.
Robbie Howard has been headlining acts in Las Vegas for more than ten years, and never fails to offer a refreshing alternative to the colored lights and fleeting fads that come and go. His hit shows "Hurray America" and "Stars of the Strip" sold out for over a decade in Las Vegas. He is a cast member of Legends in Concert and The Rat Pack is Back. His impressive list of corporate clients includes Sony, Marantz, Kentucky Fried Chicken, McDonalds, and numerous others.
