Course Overview:
This course is designed to help general dentists learn the knowledge and practical skills necessary to proficiently perform suturing techniques in various dental procedures. Through a combination of theoretical learning and hands-on practice, participants will gain confidence in suturing and enhance their ability to achieve optimal wound closure and patient outcomes.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the principles of wound healing and the importance of proper suturing in dentistry.
- Identify different types of sutures, needles, and instruments used in dental suturing. Learn various suturing techniques applicable to different dental procedures.
- Develop proficiency in suturing through hands-on practice on simulated models and clinical scenarios.

Event Speaker: Dr. Ahad Soley
Speaker's Bio: Dr. Soley earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Marquette University and his Certificate and Master’s degree in Periodontics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is also Diplomate of ICOI. Dr. Soley is a clinical instructor at the Department of Periodontology at the University of Maryland. He lectures on dental implant dentistry and periodontal surgery both nationally and internationally.
