#Simli12 Its time again for our annual ritual of riding to the Simli Dam. We have been riding to Simli Dam on the holiday of 25th December since the inception of MTB Islamabad all those years ago. This will be our twelfth annual Simli Dam Ride.
It is a long ride covering road and partially offroad trails in the villages we will pass. It will be cold day so dress appropriately. For the past couple of years, we've been doing the lake off-road part in addition to the regular ride. Road is all good until that point. If you want to do it all the way, you need a proper working MTB or hybrid with wide tires.

* Bring adequate amount of snacks and liquids to stay energized.
* No rider will be allowed without the Helmet.
* Downhill cycling is thrilling but its risky as well. Bring Knee and Elbow guards for your own protection.
* Do bring Cameras. You dont want to miss capturing the beautiful nature photographs.

Guidelines to follow:
• Helmets are a Must
• Be punctual for the rides
“Arriving late was a way of saying that your own time was more valuable than the time of the person who waited for you”
• Ensure that your bicycles are in roadworthy condition and that your tires have air before you come to the ride in the morning. Early morning repairs delay the start of the ride.
• Stay to the left side of the road when riding
• Ride in two parallel lines at most and maintain discipline for safety purposes
• Respect the countryside and leave it tidy
