Join us for a day of garden maintenance at Silverwood Elementary!
About the Garden: In the four years since its founding, the Silverwood garden has quickly grown to be a fixture of the school community. The garden features raised beds, the biggest garden shed you've ever seen, and a beautiful outdoor classroom area. The garden is host to Growing Healthy Kids outdoor garden class, taught by Garden Educator Enjoli Batchan-Ha'apai to all grade levels TK - 5. The garden is a cared for Growing Healthy Kids staff, community members, and students.
Help needed: At this work day, volunteers will:
- Mulching
- Planting
- Organizing the garden shed
- Pruning
- Other garden beautification!
Access Notes: Garden site is not accessible to wheelchair users. Activities will be availible for all ages. If you have any other questions, please get in touch with us!
You should Bring: Bring garden gloves if you have them! For your comfort, please bring a water bottle, hat, and/or sunscreen.
