Originally formed in Massachusetts by front man Andrew Stevens, guitarist Jake Hogan, and bassist Dorian Taylor, the band relocated to Portland, Oregon where they found the missing pieces to their puzzle—keyboardist, Mel Boell, and drummer, Joe-Henry McQuary. Silvertongue has developed a reputation in the Pacific Northwest music scene for their high-energy, ultra-dynamic performances and contagious charisma on and off stage. Their sound, rooted in folk, has grown to embrace elements of pop and dance music for a well-rounded catalog of wondrous adventure songs best described as “Garden Indie.”
The band’s latest release, Colors, is a seemingly care-free indie anthem that encapsulates the melancholy aftermath of a bitter breakup. The single was recorded at Jackpot! Recording Studio in Portland, OR—engineered and mixed by Zach Bloomstein.
