Join us for Silvertones Senior Choir’s “Light, Peace, and Thanksgiving”, a heartwarming celebration of the season. From Thanksgiving to the start of the new year, many traditions share a common theme: bringing light into the darkness. This concert reflects that spirit, with beautiful pieces that capture the warmth and joy of the holidays.One highlight is Jacob Naverud’s “Season of Light”, a composition that honors the ancient tradition of illuminating the winter solstice. In his own words: “At the season of the winter solstice, light diminishes in our world. To counteract the darkness, people often decorate to bring more light. Lighting up the darkness is a very old tradition.”
Come and celebrate this magical time with us, as we also welcome a new Silvertones director, a new collaborative accompanist, and a new executive director. We have so much to be thankful for, and we can’t wait to share it with you!
