Saturdays, January 17th & 24th from 11am - 2pmThe Inch Project
The class will begin with an introduction to basic jewelry-making tools and techniques. Students will design, and create an original piece of jewelry from one square inch of metal- using the scrap pieces in a technique that contracts the metal into a ball. Copper will be provided in course fee, with the option to purchase one square inch of sterling silver for an additional $15. Each student will have use of their own set of tools for the class, and the benefit of small group instruction. No experience necessary.
Instructor: Deva Gallagher has a BFA in Metals/Jewelry from MSU-Bozeman. She designs, and sells handmade silver jewelry, and teaches a Metals/Jewelry class at Rocky Mountain College. www.devagallagher.com
