Silsbridge Lane was one of the most notorious of the 'lost' neighbourhoods of Bradford and by the late 19th Century had to all intents and purposes disappeared. But why did this happen? The district in question now forms part of the wider Gotiside area, once regarded as the engine of industry in Bradford, but Goitside itself has since been radically transformed.Delivered by Jonathan Crewdson, Director of the Neighbourhood Project, this talk will look further at this history of two of Bradford's lost and forgotten neighbourhoods. It is free and will take place at the Millside Centre on the corner of Grattan Road and Thornton Road. Light refreshments will be provided.
