Center, and how its collective impact effort is working...
About this Event
The West Dallas STEM School, a Dallas ISD campus serving the West Dallas community, opened its doors in 2021 to serve 7th and 8th grade and has since added a 50/50 transformation school for pre-K through 6th grade. Through a generous multi-million-dollar investment from Toyota USA Foundation, the school completed its Phase 1 development and is now moving to Phase 2. Beyond offering a STEM program, the school is becoming a hub for the community in bringing together nonprofits to address community needs and systemic inequities. This program will feature this innovative community school model, led by SMU’s Budd Center, and how its collective impact effort is working towards systemic transformation within the 75212 ZIP code.
