On Saturday 12th October 2024, I am running drop-in silk card painting sessions for all ages and abilities in my home studio in Trowbridge!Here is all the info:
- Saturday 12th October, drop in from 10am - 1pm
- 274 Frome Road, Trowbridge, BA14 0DT (look for the balloons). Free parking in the gravel courtyard, or curbside parking on Manor Road.
- Suggested donation to Beat: £5 per person per card. You will get to choose from a variety of silk templates, paint it yourself, and stick it to a card
- There will be biscuits and cakes, please donate your own if you can and help raise some extra money for Beat!

I have lived experience of anorexia and am taking part in Beat's new campaign ‘Beat 1-2-5’, which aims to spread a message of strength, solidarity and hope to the 1.25 million sufferers in the UK today.
Beat's campaign will take place the week of 7th -13th October, to coincide with World Mental Health Day on 10th October 2024. What's more, during this week of fundraising, Beat has partnered up with a charitable foundation who will match all donations up to a total value of £50k!

Nicola - "Beat has been my chosen charity, ever since I started recovery from anorexia nervosa in 2015. I have run the Silverstone Half Mararhon, jumped 10,000ft out of a plane, and donated 10% of profits from the sales of 'My Super Sweet Recovery Cookbook' , a cookbook I wrote to support others in recovery from eating disorders, and also 10% profits from my body positive range of artwork. Now that I consider myself fully recovered, I want others to know that there is life beyond anorexia, and that recovery will be the best decision you ever make."
