Join UBC Researchers to Study the Health Effects of Human and Nature Sounds in Pacific Spirit Regional ParkA portion of Top Trail (between Huckleberry Trail and Imperial Drive) has been temporarily designated as a "Silent Trail" for a pilot project to understand how reducing human noise can enhance the natural soundscape.
We are seeking volunteers to join our community science project and take measurements in the park.
Activities:
- Measure sound levels
- Record wildlife observations
- Learn to protect natural soundscapes
