- Kilgore College Theatre proudly presents Silent Sky, written by Lauren Gunderson, and directed by guest artist Jason Richards. The production runs from December 5th through 8th at the Anne Dean Turk Fine Arts Center. Silent Sky tells the remarkable true story of Henrietta Leavitt, a pioneering 19th-century astronomer whose discoveries reshaped our understanding of the stars. The play highlights both the scientific and societal challenges faced by women, offering a compelling look at determination, intellect, and progress.

On Friday, December 6th, at 10:30 AM, Kilgore College Theatre will hold an exclusive performance for local schools and community organizations. This special event will include an educational presentation and a post-show discussion with the cast and crew, offering students and attendees a deeper exploration of the play’s historical and scientific themes.
