Join The Coven as we honor the turning of the Wheel into the darkest point of the year, the Winter Solstice.
The Winter Solstice, or Yule, is the shortest day of the year and the longest night of the year, marking the turning point when the Sun completes it's descent into darkness and begins it's return journey. From this day forward, the days will slowly begin getting longer and brighter until the Summer Solstice.
Energerically, this time of year, especially leading up to the Solstice, is all about emptying out all the old thoughts, habits, and beliefs that are keeping us distracted, confused and numb so that at we can enter into the ceremony of sacred silence during the darkest period of the year. It is within the dark and the silence that the Divine Light of the Sun, and our own consciousness, can then enter in, offering dreams and inspirations for the year ahead.
During this Winter Solstice Ceremony, we will gather around the fire, learn about the energetics of this time of year, do an emptying out release ritual, then be guided through a Sound Healing Journey into meditative silence.
This gathering will be held at Half Moon Ranch in Castle Rock Colorado from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on December 14th. Make sure to arrive at least 5 minutes early to find parking and settle in before we walk down to the fire pit.
Bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, or anything to help you feel more comfortable during the Sound Journey. You can also bring ear plugs and an eye mask if you would like to enhance the meditative experience.
**Dress in layers! The fire pit part of this experience will be outside in the elements, and the Sound and Silence Journey will be held in the warm and cozy indoors.
