About this Event
Christmas 2024 officially kicks off @ Volkswagen Louth on Sunday 1st December 2024
Amie Dyer has been a familiar face in Drogheda since she started singing at the age of 10. After studying in Scotland, she took her talents to Austria, where she performed in an opera house for the last year and a half. Her passion for music has always fueled her desire to connect with the community through concerts and charity events.
Back home for the holiday season, Amie is thrilled to launch her latest single, "Silent Night" at a wonderful free Christmas concert at the Volkswagen Louth showroom at Western Motors Drogheda. She will be joined by some special guests to deliver a wonderful afternoon of Holiday Harmonies.
Alice Reynolds is thrilled to join Amie for this special event. 19 year old Alice, also from Drogheda, has a deep-rooted passion for musical theatre cultivated during her studies with Amie. She is currently pursuing her dreams and continuing her journey at American College in Dublin. Her talent is driven by a genuine love for storytelling and connection through music and this will add to the magic at this special Christmas Concert.
The Loving Life Choir - Unified Young Voice of Hope, what a fantastic name. And when you meet this group of young people, aged from 5 through to 18, you will see it is a fitting name. Jade Quinn, Musical Director says 'this choir was created to unify our community's young voices through the feel-good nature of music, giving them strength, enthusiasm and motivation they need to face challenges with a positive mindset. They are excited to be part of this special event and will be performing their new single 'I Have A Voice' for the first time.'
The Vibrant Voice Choir, established and founded in March 2024, by Jade Quinn is a passionate ensemble dedicated to bringing together individuals from all walks of life who share a love for singing. Jade, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Modern music, believes the transformative power of music should be celebrated. 'The Vibrant Voice Chior is more than just a choir, we strive to make music and memories that resonate far beyond the stage. We are also excited to join Amie and friends for this special event.'
Lastly and by no means least, the Drogheda Male Voice Choir, led by Conductor David Leddy. They need no introduction as their annual Christmas recitals at The TLT have been a holiday highlight and a sell out for many years. Made up of 42 characters and performing a wide range of music from modern and classic to hits from West End shows and famous musicals, they perform, not only all over Ireland, but in recent years in Wales, London, Rome and Tuscany. Amie has been the regular soprano with the Drogheda Male Voice Choir since she was 16 years old and has been part of the choir's major recitals since their foundation. She is very much regarded a 'one of the choir' and we are proud to have her in our choir family. We are delighted to join Amie for her 'Silent Night' event at Volkswagen Louth and look foward to her joining us for this years 'Christmas Melodies' concert in the TLT on Friday 6th December.
And of course, a Christmas Concert just wouldn't be a Christmas Concert without the man himself so Santa Claus will swing by at 3PM to get the party started.
So, this concert promises to kick off the Christmas month with a lot of sass and sparkle, dont miss out, get your ticket early. Limited numbers - admission by ticket only.
