📅 Sunday, March 16th
🕕 6 PM
📍 Station East
💰 Pay what you like – donations welcome!
Silent Movie Sundays is here! A new monthly tradition where we bring classic silent films back to the screen, complete with a live piano score, drinks, and a great atmosphere.
For our opening night, we’re showing Ernst Lubitsch’s The Doll (1919), a delightfully surreal comedy that’s just as funny today as it was over 100 years ago. But that’s not all…
🎹 Live Piano Score by Aura Mae
Experience silent film the way it was meant to be – with an original live piano score, performed in the moment by Aura Mae, bringing the film to life with music.
🎞 About the film:
A reluctant groom. A lifelike mechanical bride. A plan that spirals wildly out of control. Lubitsch’s The Doll is a fantastical early rom-com, featuring trick photography, clever humor, and the unforgettable Ossi Oswalda. If you love silent film, old-school comedy, or just want a fun, unique night out, this one’s for you.
🍿 Drinks & Popcorn!
We’ll have a short intermission so you can top up your drinks, grab some popcorn, and chat about the film.
💰 Pay what you like – There’s no set ticket price, but we’ll be collecting donations during the evening. If you enjoy the show, feel free to contribute and help keep Silent Movie Sundays going!
This is the very first edition of Silent Movie Sundays – don’t miss it!
