Take a time machine back to when silent films had live musical accompaniment! In this special event sponsored by COFAC’s CoLab three short films headline a performance by the TU Symphony: Charlie Chaplin’s The Rink (1918) Alice Guy-Blaché’s Making an American Citizen (1912) and Laurel & Hardy’s Big Business (1929). Incidental music from Scott Joplin and lesser known artists of the time will unify one unforgettable evening conducted by guest artist Andrew Greene founder and leader of the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra. This event highlights the COFAC CoLab’s first-year theme of “The Past (Augmentation Interdependence Extinction)” as part of the college's broader exploration “Adaptive Artistry: The Convergence of Human Creativity & Technology.”
