About this Event
Ecstatic Dance started in Charleston in 2016, and this past summer, several of our dancers voiced the desire to purchase our own set of Silent Disco headsets so we can take dance outdoors. This launched the start of Ecstatic Dance Underground, a peer-led, outdoor series designed to feature resident DJs, get us outside, and raise some funds. All ED Underground Dances are peer-led and donation-based. 100% of proceeds go towards the purchase of our Silent Disco headsets.
Join us on Saturday, November 16th from 7-9pm at the Bridge Spot for a downtown under the bridge silent disco. Dance is by donation but headsets are limited, so we suggest reserving your spot ahead of time via the link below.

About your DJs:
Michael Nickless, aka FUNGAIA is a local true to heart. Born and raised in Hanahan, SC, music has always had a special place in his soul. Attending his first ever Ecstatic Dance here in 2019 has inspired him to dive further into musical creation. Fungaia brings his eclectic style influenced by all walks of music. May it bring you joy as it has to him!
VASHI has been bringing a taste of his musical style to people throughout the northeast US since 2011. Growing up listening to reggae and 70s rock, he always felt music hit him differently than most. After discovering and simultaneosuly falling in love with the underground EDM scene, Vashi is here to take listeners through a journey of sub-bass, tech house, and drum & bass vibrations.
About Silent Disco:
At a silent disco, each dancer gets their own high-quality bluetooth headset, and the DJ plays through this feed. The individualized volume control allows you to tailor your experience and the long-range RF transmitters gives you freedom to roam. We love the Silent Disco experience because it helps us dodge the amplified sound barriers and take our dance outdoors, reclaiming our inner and outer wild nature.

Welcome! Ecstatic Dance is the cross section of conscious dance and DJ culture. For each event, we invite a professional DJ to craft an intentional set designed to get us out of our heads and into our bodies. Under this umbrella, there is no such thing as a "good" or "bad" dancer. If you have a body, you can dance.
